become a fitter, faster & Stronger ocean athlete | weekly vides | exercise & Nutrition | find out more

So the wind has arrived this season and the Seabreeze is giving us awesome afternoon glides. Getting out on the Indian, with the sea weed and clear waters is good for the soul. A bit of Vitamin Sea clears the mind and brings out the inner child when the wind and swell go your way. Or other days it teaches you humility, when the sea is angry and the wind doesn’t go your way. All you can do is learn to work with the ocean, not try to control it.

Being a waterman isn’t about the board you ride or how big you go, its about accepting that the ocean is in charge and you need to let go of control and manage what you can, when you can. Trust your abilities and your equipment. Settle in and accept the chaos and push on, making the most of opportunities when they show up and knowing when to bide your time until the next swell goes your way.

Downwind SUP is my own personal tonic, but kiting, windsurfing or any other ocean addiction teaches you patience and respect for an ocean that has no respect for your bad day or shit mood. Get out your own head and enjoy the massive playground that changes everyday!

Don’t take life so seriously and rock out every now and then.

Have a stand up day :)
